Story behind the song
This is a 4-minute version of Nostalgia blending the chill out version with some elements influenced by the Dubstep genre. This includes a wobble bass and some random stabs throughout the track yet it maintains the Imphenzia sound so it's not true dubstep. I've been listening to some by Skrillex lately (Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, and Kill EVERYONE) and this sparked the idea to incorporate some of the dubstep sounds into my music. Nostalgia [Retreat Edit], the chill-out edit, was the track that sprung to mind and in the early morning the following day this track was ready for release. To get the wobble effect I use LFO1 as a sinus wave to oscillate the Cutoff of a lead. I use VST Automation to alter the rate of the LFO throughout the track according to what I thought sounds appropriate.
