For funk, hip hop, alternative, soft rock and jazz, margot du bois, rapster and numerous collab partners, the main ones being Tom King and The Ratman...
Ive been an online singer since 1999/2000. I first encountered online collaboration via Steinbergs "Rocketnetwork" which came free with Cubase back in those days.. I was totally awestruck by the fact that I could make music with people worldwide who Id never met personally before. Since those days Ive written and sung countless, completed songs and always have many others in various stages of completion. As you can see by the list I have dozens of collab partners, some of whom have become very close and dear friends in real life. Infact the first persons song I ever sang on was by Steve Pearce, who is now sadly deceased. He became one of my dearest friends and through him I met and became very close friends with the late Clint Warwick, who was the original bass player with the Moody Blues and Danny King who was one of the founder members of that band. Some of the people that I made music with in the past on and off line:- ..My dear friend, the late Clint Warwick, also Danny King and... steve pearce... sheck... lennie... bigmoon... bop... timmymacdd... jack miller... mixmaster mark... tfolie... jako2k... zauberflute... music1961... Joemagic... kemox... gatchman... g. francis... psyspyder... universalfreedom... dealsaxgtr... herman... rob james... plat... 12T...Solaire/Jon R...Doozy... brodo... robaire... abbeyroad... xiabram... naughtyhill... bombstar... wilhelm... vectorstation... ensoniq... tomben... mart... bigjohn... bop... hawkeyez... snowy... kjell... harry c... mikula... cppmusic... gub... dbm... (Those people were all members of the now defunct "Rocketnetwork", "The Rocketears"...... More recent people are,:- Teecee... ZIGGma... Steve Dinsmoor... Dirt Settlers... D Form... Lil Drizzy... Syngularity... Uncle fester... Violent... Tom KIng... Ratman... Yerrickl... Loren Risker... CBS Productions... Pete Consodine... Dace... Blue Tom... JDK... Sisters... Mick Wilson... Shedman... Beeswing... Jeff and Derek Southerland... Emocion... Khalil... Texas Jake... Talent A.D... Syntopia... Nigel Potter... WhereWolf... Rob Grant... Gary Carciello... Allen Warren... SaitKoray... Aimlessjazz... vvsdesign/Volker...TNuT...Frank Northcutt...Uberthrall... last, but always first... My wonderful partner in love, life AND music, JOEY/Joe Nickerson/RAPSTER/Nicky Quick... Because the list is long its possible I may have forgotten to mention someone here, so if I have please give me a nod and Ill fix that.. Im so very thankful to everyone whos made their music freely available to me, to the many whove written and created pieces especially for me and to those whove helped me along the way, believe me there have been so many...Thankyou to all of them.. I NEVER try to sound like anyone else when I sing, always prefering what comes naturally to me. I rarely if ever sing other peoples lyrics as I can only feel what I personally feel, thats not to say I dont appreciate what other songwriters write, I love reading their lyrics and listening to their songs, those are their feelings..:-) My lyrics are generally minimal. I dont feel I need to write a book when I can say it in a sentence..:-) Im very happy to be uniquely and uncontrollably me..:-)

Story behind the song
I felt that Steve was standing behind me the whole of today helping me along the way...Thankyou S and I miss you..:-) Steve sent me this piece of music too long ago to remember but everytime I opened it up I drew a blank with lyrics..After he left us I opened it up and lyrics began to form but my heart was`nt in it and it sat around on the shelf with a lot of others.. Today, 24th August, is the first time since just after he died back in January that I`ve felt that I could finish the song...I have Phil Lane, "darkblueman" to thank for the subtle kick in the pants to sing again...Thankyou...So, here it is, the first song of my sixties..Originally titled "Levison Blade" by Steve and now called "Tamed the tiger".
Lyrics
Lyrics They say he`s a lovely man... And that he`s cheerful... But that ain`t the man I know... That makes me tearful... ? I guess this is what it took... They cracked the whip and they tamed the tiger... They tamed the tiger... They cracked the whip and they tamed the tiger... WoooaW... ? They tamed the tiger... They cracked the whip and they tamed the tiger... We led him gently by the hand... And left him in a strange, new land... That is how we tamed the tiger... That is how we tamed the tiger... We tamed the tiger... His ship is drifting now... The anchor broke, there`s no wind to fill the sails... And when he cries out, it`s to no avail... We cracked the whip... We cracked the whip... ? We cracked the whip... ? He did`nt see it coming... He did`nt have a clue... Last thing that he expected... From me and from you... That is how we tamed the tiger... That is how we tamed the tiger... That is how we tamed the tiger... We tamed the tiger... That is how we tamed the tiger... -------------------------------- ?copyright margot du bois
