Story behind the song
Bill Irwin wrote the song and The Glaser Brothers released it on their 1967 MGM album titled simply Tompall & The Glaser Brothers. It was again included on the Now Country album in 1969. It was on the flip side of the single release of Walk Unashamed in 1970 that spent five weeks on Billboard’s country charts, peaking at #30.
Our version is slightly different, but it remains true to the vocal style that the Glaser Brothers gave it. On our arrangement Gary D is on the lead vocal, Joel is on the third high harmony, David is doing the low part and Paul Robert is singing the fifth high harmony.
