Jamey Darnold is a singer/songwriter/guitarist/ solo act originally from the banks of the Mississippi river town of Burlington, Ia. He has released to his credit 13 full length albums that seamlessly meld country, blues, and folk styles spanning from 2004's "Burlington Bound.. a railroad town" to 2023's "The Running River". He is influenced by up and coming Americana artist such as "Jason Isbell" to the folk rock classics of "The Eagles", and Neil Young.
His strongest assets are in the singing and songwriting styles portrayed. Life's lessons endured by what makes the American dream real. The byproducts from growing up in rural Iowa and then leaving... to experience life without boundary's on America's endless trail of concrete. Now residing in rural Kane county Illinois and armed with only guitar and harmonica. He can hold audiences "young and old" and will invite you to listen, enjoy, and to reflect on all His multi-generational/ genre music styles.

Really well crafted song here Jamey. Your vox are so clean and sincere and the delivery spot on. The lyrics leave the listener thinking and are well composed. The arrangement is simple but somehow unusual and magnetic and really carries the whole tune along perfectly. Love the minimalistic approach. Great song here.

Jamey, Very very nice song... I tried to listen to it but it would only let me hear 30 seconds and then it would stop. Pretty weird.. I tried five times always getting to that one spot.. I can tell by the beginning that this is a lovely song. I read through the lyrics as well and I'm impressed! They are great! Good to hear you again.. It's been awhile for me.. Take care..

this is such a fine song. the vocal is excellent. the minimal instrumentation lets the voice shine and is all thats needed. can't say enough about this one. hit the spot for me.

Dude, I have been trying to get back to this point to be able to listen to this song since early Friday morning. I'm not going into details, but it's been a bear!!!! But it's worth it and your voice laying out these honorable and soothing lyrics, is a true reward!!!!! This is a beautiful piece of work!!!!! The guitar is warm with marvelous tone and the Indian flute was spiritual and proud, much like your vocal.....heart and soul my friend, heart & soul......and with the backbeat, the wholeness of this beautiful melody is rounded out into a powerful listen and a most enjoyable one at that!!!!!!!! Heart & Soul....I had to say it again, because this song expresses true spirituality and emotion with pride and embraces each and every word.....I don't have the words to express what I feel when I hear this song......
