Very diverse & electrifying
Pete Flores: Pete Flores is the essence of the word music. I was given the gift of music and I use it to inspire & arouse the senses of the human mind and spirit. Red Wine & Jazz Junkie Fans & musicians awed by articulate guitar soloing were not let down by this 2008 follow up. “Red Wine & Jazz Junkie” is Peter’s second disc and first to be completely self-produced. Peter’s first disc, “Romancing You” displayed the softer side of his musicianship in contrast to this latest, where he surpasses many technical strides. Red Wine & Jazz Junkie showcases the rhythmic aptitude and refined tone of Peter’s guitar playing. The work is a colorful mix of rock, contemporary riffs, bluesy licks, and Latin Jazz. Most evident when comparing “Romancing You” and “Red Wine & Jazz Junkie” is Peter’s tremendous versatility. Prepare for an exhibition of cool phrasing, tight rhythms, and monster chops. All great guitarist are inspired by their favorite musicians. As you listen to Red Wine & Jazz Junkie, you’ll get a glimpse at some of the great artists who have influenced Peter Flores through the years.

Story behind the song
While in San Francisco my wife and I wanted to walk around and see what was in the area. So we found the most popular street there (Lombard Street). Lombard Street seemed like a good place for blues bands to perform~lots of little shops and bar and grille type places. This area gave me the inspiration to compose a blues song about this street.
