Lyrics
Faces of the River I'm lost in the eye of the storm Everything i thought was real is Drifting in another time and place My reflection on the water I see a stranger's face But the sun brightens up the morning clouds And I walk on Many faces in the river And they wrap me in her arms And I walk on Many faces i see

Really. Really well done! Smooth and dreamlike. Captivating musical arrangement. Great from percussion, guitar, to the wooden flutes. Well written and impeccable vocal performance. Flawless. Great job Gabe!

If I was a free man, I would take off my shoes and my coat. I'd find me a shade tree overlooking a beautiful river, and listen to this song over and over and over again. Then I'd eat lunch and do it some more. Very creative. Inspiring and enchanting. Congrats!

Something different Gabe. Buddhist referenced and world influences grace this marvelous structured composition. Love the ethnic instrumentation and flowing feel to this track. Your vocal performance is outstanding, superb production….Really nice collaboration guys…Yeah I'm digging this one a lot…

A song in three parts, So the third part should bring us all back , cause the first two parts are pretty darn good. Great music in both of them, both of them spun from the fabric of time. Great stuff!

Hi Gabe and Michael, Well from country cousin to New Age world artist. LOL! Excellent production and musically very interesting mix. I am not familiar with the stories the song is based on as someone alluded to here but one of the great things of collabs they take us out of our comfort zone. You have both done well pulling each other along. Nice work! Lately I have been having a lot of Hip Hoppers wanting me to peep their sh*t and collab I just might need to take them up on it. LOL! P.S. My 25 year old Daughter teaches guitar at a local music store and a young kid called her and wanted to learn hip hop music and I happened to overhear her saying well that is not music. You need to go listen again and there is no guitars! (I had a moment of pride! LOL!)

I was reading your page and I liked the line that stood out to me. to my fellow fragile hearts. That would be me. Now this is one 100% pro recording from a-z wow blown away, what magic, what guitar, what use of fills and the spatial balance, mix and mastering are all top. The flute sound is well placed even a a tad on the two at once well done, mellow and nice vox, man you are not recording on crap equipment that is highly noticed right off. On a soft song it is great how digital eliminates the noise, as we are both older men and know well the reel to reel days. The PC based home studio again proves that recording and mastering engineers and producers like me are no longer needed, with tweaking and talent, bravo a sonic work of art. Hats off Old man from another old man LOL. Just turned 51 feb 10. but like you just as wine gets better over time, we can show so does our music, its depth and performance. I at 51 am doing the best work I have ever done, and my voice is still strong

This song just blows me away. It's positively magical. Mike's instrumentation is enchanting and wonderfully done..it carries me away like a magic carpet. The lyrics..so brief and simple but carrying volumes about life. Your vox flow like the river and are sublimely soothing. This is a masterpiece of a collab. Standing ovation!
