Finger style and Acoustic Progressive guitar, flute, synth and Mellotron.
Welcome to the music of Carlo D'Anna's Ridiculous Dream music. Also known as "Dream Warrior" in some circles. Influences and music styles ranging from basic to progressive rock, with definite Retro seventies sound. If you enjoy the sound of Moody Blues, George Harrison, Genesis, Dead Can Dance, and others of the same style, more or less, you will probably like this music. I use quite a bit of Mellotron and acoustic fingerstyle guitar as well.

This is so nice to just listen for once.. just listen. I need to for a little while I think.
You have the sweetest sounds right here Carlo.. inspirational collabs and original works. The synth work and production all just bounces around in the head so sweetly.. everything is balanced and staged so wonderfully, nothing overdone. I love these lyrics man.. this is cool stuff.
ya know..I live in florida, just like 9 miles from the gulf..and really and truly, when I go down to south lido beach to ted sperling park by myself on a slow week day, when I can have some peace.. well..the water does speak.. the sound of the waves lapping at the shore..it'll speak to you if youre really still and zoned in..or out..im not sure which. hahaha..
GREAT STUFF right here Carlo!

Can't compare anything bigger than an ocean, unless you take it to the cosmos ;^)) Excellent composition Carlo - well written lyrics and arranged instrumentation! Bravo!

As a HUGE Moody Blues fan (especially when they used the mellotron) I have to agree with those who have picked up on the similarity... This is a fantastic dreamy, airy kind of tune...one to get lost wonderfully in. :)

Carlo, your compositions are always a journey, moving forward and never looking back. Your lyrics are also as deep and mysterious as the ocean you guide us over. Most enjoyable!

This is a BIG song . . .I can only agree with all the other comments. There's so much happening here in a suptle way, but still doesn't distract from the whole. How do you plan such big arrangements ?. This is an epic. A Saga. Brilliant Carlo.

On a fifth listen, just amazed by it's grace. A magical, dreamlike, yet entirely organic, beautifully flowing gem. Signature, deep, meaningful, a timeless quality, entirely beautiful.

OK it's official - you are now an honorary Brit!
This just sounds more english than England - shades of the Moodies, Tull, Genesis - the whole prog thing. And it's fantastic! Fine work Carlo (old chap)!
