I am a solo singer/songwriter. My music is mostly soft although my songs could easily be performed in mostly any style.
For me, it's all about the song. That mysteriously magical thing that happens when a lyric is married to a melody. The writing process is invigorating and exciting while simultaneously being exasperating and difficult. It is that moment when music is being composed and a lyric is being written when I am truly the "artist at his easel." The creative process continues when the song is brought into the studio to be recorded because, as in writing, the production and arrangement processes also have their own sets of challenges. Those challenges are always dictated by the song itself and the task at hand at that moment is to be true to the song and carefully craft a recording that reflects what the song is about. Part three, for me, is to then take that song and perform it. It is the purest form of displaying this work of art called a song and is the only place where the magic of the creation is reflected back to me from a room full of interested listeners. And at that moment it is only as magical as the audience makes me believe it is. My CDs are all available on CDBaby.com.

Lyrics
In the Springtime of their romance She was stunningly beautiful And he knew that he would be lucky If only to have a chance To dance in the moonlight In three quarter time--- So he took her hand And he tried his best To lead the way With his one-two-three One-two-three steps And she tried not to laugh But it showed And their love was born There on that dance floor In the afterglow--- In the days and the years that passed She was always incredible And he knew he was lucky And without an occasion he'd say Let's dance in the moonlight In three quarter time--- And he understood With all his heart That his life was good And she was the Very best part And he tried not to sigh But it showed And they melted in each other's Tired arms In the afterglow--- He kept her photograph all of his lifetime He loved her infectious laugh It meant love to him--- In the mirror she saw her age And she didn't feel beautiful And he knew that he must do something For his love, she was fading away So he told her the truth She was beautiful More each day--- So he took her hand And he tried his best To lead the way With his one-two-three One-two-three steps And she tried not to cry But it showed But the tears were for love That's forever In the afterglow--- He took her hand And he tried his best To lead the way With his one-two-three One-two-three steps And she tried not to laugh But it showed But the laughter Was love lasting Always Always Always Always In the afterglow---

Your vocal, melody, lyric, and chords truly touch the heart. Love the feel of the chords between your verses. The strings have such a wonderful feel. Such a beautiful and visual song ...
