Story behind the song
This is one of those if i could learn how to play this song kind of songs well me thinks i did ok. there were a few sour notes here and there but it is what it is. the harmony parts at the end are guitar tracks and no harmony fx were used. I just sat down and played what felt right to me.
equipment used, a reissue epiphone wilshire at 349.00 that i didn't expect much out of , but back in the 70s , it was my main and only guitar. I was broke back then like the rest of us and traded a bunch of stuff for it. so when i saw the reissues i had to have one, even if it was to just hang on the wall. It turned out to be a great guitar and so close to the orignal i couldn't believe it. with the 2 way truss rod you could put the neck rate where it needed to be. the fret work was excellent as well. Non USA made guitars have come a long way. i've had USA made guitars costing 4 times as much and didn't play half as good.
I used a boss BR864 digital 8 track to record it with. the bass used was a ibanez micro bass in metalflake blue. their about the size of a 6 string electric guitarand can be had for about 180.00. that thing setup great as well and does what i wanted it to do and plays real good. See you don't have to pay 1000s to get a decent playing guitar. I use a pedalboard setup and 4 different amplifiers , a suhr badger 18, a zinky supro sahara Akg c1000 mic and the shure beta 57 mic's. it a good time to be a musician gear wise.
