Story behind the song
A Roman soldier mans an outpost along a road in the days of the ancient Roman Empire; he begins to become aware of cracks forming in the foundation of the society in which he lives... It is very important to study the reasons why civilizations have always fallen in the past, so that we do not end up following the same path.
This song was done with a special guitar tuning, and reflects the style of music from the Roman era, which made much more use of simple strumming technique at a typically slow pace, the pace of life in those times. Played using a Gibson Songbird bronze-strung acoustic guitar, microphoned.
