Fantacy and a little truth
Riding away to somewhere I never been
The north wind is blowing, with a whiskey and a life of broken dreams
Old and guilty but never committed a crime
The woman that I loved she told me I was a lie
How I wish I was where the river run wild
And I could learn how to fly
Rain keep falling while I visit the dark side of the moon
My life become a journey between bars and hookers shabby hotel rooms
Drunk and dirty I need to clean my boots and my soul
There is a lord who fight the devil, he is not here he must be gone
How I wish I was where the river run wild
And I could learn how to fly
And so, it is a life without change, burning the bridges of my youth
Wish you were here who save old lost souls the tide stop turning for me
Mother dear mother how I wish you never see me when I fall
The picture and the colour when I made my hole in the wall
My dark is so deep no light will find my way home
I burn my last candle and I run away from it all
How I wish I was where the river run wild
And I could learn to fly
How I wish I was where the river run wild
And I could learn how to fly
