The Decorations come down,
A Bittersweet farewell,
Coffee brews, it's morning,
The office calls as well.
All these toys played with once,
Tidying the tidings that do tell,
of a child's remembrance,
That fades like the distant bell.
Holiday's glow fades to routine,
Routine rolls on the typical scene,
The rearview brings a weak smile,
Thoughts that linger for a while.
Did we feel all the joy,
Or just the moment's rush?
Scrolling photos for spark,
But it's just not enough.
Times fade to routine,
Moments have to end,
Time fades to routine,
Until the next again.
