To celebrate 50 years since the classic space rockers 'Hawkwind' recorded and released their classic live album "Space Ritual" at the Liverpool Stadium. Great times and amazing music. Thanks for the memories.

Story behind the song
In my late teens one of my favorite bands were Space Rock pioneers "Hawkwind." in 1972 they recorded their live album 'Space Ritual' partly at Liverpool Stadium. I was there. The lights, the wall of sound, the joss sticks , Dik Mik, Del Dettmarr, Lemmy, Nick Turner, Dave Brock and the delightful amazonian Stacia, alongside the lyrical influences of Michael Moorcock. A hefty mix of sci-fi craziness. Time once was I could survive that sort of show. Maybe not so much these days. But here's a tribute to great memories.
