I was extremely disturbed by what happened to Nipsey Hussle. The way it happened. The people involved. The many unanswered questions..and ultimately, the fact that he's no longer with us. I've cried tears for this brother. Down on that concrete. Looking up at a coward with a gun. Damn i get so angry thinking about that..It makes me cry. I thought..what can i do? Writing and recording this song was my only therapy.
