A satire inspired by Lewis Carroll and the current state of the world.
The mirror is broken. We're down the rabbit hole here.
The mirror is broken, can't find our way home
damn the mad hatter who cast the first stone
and down on the street there's a man with no bread
with cries from the castle "Off with his head"
Says Alice "I hate that the people are mad"
the cat smiles and tells her she ought to be glad
"You'll feel so safer if you live in fear,
you'll learn to believe the impossible here"
The cat disappears leaving only his grin
there's nothing so strange as the world we live in
if you drink the poison and swallow the lies
you might need to cover your eyes
And over the water so many in thrall
he never stops talking, says nothing at all
"Truth's just opinion" the clarion call
"Say, I've got the answer; let's build a wall"
And there goes the walrus, the carpenter too
the oysters in line, along for the view
they don't understand half the things that you do
I'm thinking the same goes for you
The cat disappears leaving only his grin
there's nothing so strange as the world we live in
if you drink the poison and swallow the lies
you might need to cover your eyes
