Story behind the song
This is how it happened.. I'm at the station through tons of snow in Aspen @ the abc center. My boss lady who is 15 years younger than me love her says "Rick you are just so lucky" I think uh oh sounds messed up . What? You got the Stephen Stills Interview. I;m glowing, when does he get here? She yells down the hall way he's calling in. Oh FFF@! I've never done a phone call pipe in yet! She says well get ready! When's he calling? She says in 10 minutes. Again the F thing as I run to the booth. 5 minutes later he calls, and we say hi on the air and I'm so freaked out that I hang up on him by pushing the wrong buttons on the board. I didn't know the number to call him back and made a joke on air that these stars want shorter and shorter interviews. And played a song, like I meant to do that. You can hear him joke about it on the recording. I nearly had a heart attack that day, and haven't shoveled snow yet today ugh Aspen
