Melody and words written approximately 1989 by Bill and Dave of the band Bill And Dave. - Aug 6 2017 update: A friend pointed out that this song is VERY similar to the ~1980 song "Everything is Food" as seen in the Robin Williams movie "Popeye", so now I'm not sure if this song is an unintentional cover song, or if I should pull it before I get sued.
Bill sang and played guitar, bass, piano, lap harp, banjo, and toy piano, and arranged all the rest in a compooter.
