A Bluesy, Pink Floydish sounding song. Loose and chaotic. Not for everyone. Parental advisory for language. NSFW *Updated on 6/14 - Revised and remixed*
A song I threw together rather quickly in the wee hours of the morning right after watching Love & Mercy, a movie about Brian Wilson. So along with the Pink Floyd, Blues sound, you might hear some acid-fueled Beach Boys influences in there.
I spent more time in post-production trying to tame a bit of the chaos.
It's one of those songs that I expected very little from, but turned out into something I liked. Probably not for everyone, but well...here it is.
Parental Guidance suggested for language.
Artistic Cynicism in Disorder
Oh what is there left to say
Just stop me before I ramble on and on and on
Oh Why does always seem like yesterday
When it's been years since you've been gone, long gone
It's an easy song about a hard life
Sung in the middle of the night
It's an easy song about a hard life
I'm wrong even when I am right
Oh Why can't I just let it go
Cause I'm afraid if I do I'll just float away
Oh Driving alone on an empty road
Fighting the urge to go back home to stay
It's an easy song about a hard life
Do you even care what you have done to me
If the song is hard about an easy life
I'm sorry that you wasted your time on me
Go on and get on with your life
Know I'm never going to get it right
You gave me a chance, but used me just the same
You gave me no chance, but it was still just a game
It's an easy song about a hard life
Sung in the middle of the night
It's an easy song about a hard life
I'm wrong even when I am right
It's an easy song, such a hard life
I can't even say that I really tried
It's an easy song, such a hard hard life
It hurt most of all whenever you lied
I'm sorry I never really really tried
But it hurt so bad when I made you lie.
It hurt most of all whenever you lied
About an easy song of a hard life.
