Story behind the song
In May, 15th, 2017 German record label ACN Music is going to release a very special music project: the song “CHANGES” which became a dedication to the most famous event in Europe - Eurovision Song Contest.
The song is written, composed and produced by Anna C. Nova in power pop and world music manners and performed by the fabulous label artist Elena Cherkasova. From the very beginning every one realized, that it was quite brave ambitious idea and at the same time a very hard task to record the song which can reflect the whole monumentalism of the event like Eurovision Song Contest. But at the very first place it was the intention to express through music the deep respect and support to a lot of professionals of mass media and music industry who is involved and makes this event possible.
The dedication of the new song goes under the motto “Live long and prosper”, which is here addressed to the contest itself. This saying became well-known worldwide thanks to series Star Trek and has visual shape: it consists of a raised hand with the palm forward and the thumb extended, while the fingers are parted between the middle and ring finger. Based on this idea ACN Music team worked out a special motion picture video with own interpreted version.
The video “CHANGES. Dedication to Eurovision Song Contest” was represented directly to European Broadcasting Union – the contest organizer. EBU addressed a letter to ACN Music team where it was said thankful words about the dedication of the new song "CHANGES" and underlined that Union is very honored by this action and very much appreciates to be linked to the efforts to spread positive messages through music.
Anna C. Nova (the songwriter and music producer of the song “CHANGES”) said: “We are extremely proud and honored to get such a kind feedback right from the heart of Eurovision Song Contest! Year by year the song contest has been giving a huge inspiration to many musicians all over the world gathering together most creative powers and established strong and legendary unity. From the bottom of our hearts we hope that this story will never end and that no one and nothing can destroy the long-term history of the most famous music project in Europe”.
