Certainly our language has changed over the last 400 years and since there was no YouTube back then, for Robert Jones to demonstrate exactly what a "dildo" was to them; I guess we will never know.
I think this is one of my better recording and it has been kicking around for 15 years (recorded in 2002) and never been posted anywhere. I guess because I have no idea what it is about. Certainly our language has changed over the last 400 years and since there was no YouTube back then for Robert Jones to demonstrate exactly what a "dildo" was to them; I guess we will never know.
I just missed the 400 year anniversary of Jones' 2nd Booke by a few months with this one. I did better in 2009 & 2010 with the 4th & 5th bookes anniversary.
I started off strumming
Guitar on January 7, 2002 and;
keyboard bass - January 23, 2002
keyboard Clav - February 7, 2002
keyboard? lead - February 19, 2002
vocal - March 27 & 28, 2002 (spliced 3 times)
- I couldn't believe in took me 2 day just to sing this and so this is beyond my range and I will never do this one live.
XV. DAINTY DARLING KIND AND FREE
Dainty darling kind and free
Fairest maid I ever see,
Dear vouchsafe to look on me;
Listen, listen, listen when I sing, I sing to thee,
What I will do with a dildo, with a dildo,
Sing do, with a dildo, dildo.
Sweet, now, sweet, now, sweet, now go not, Sweet, now go not yet, I pray;
Let no doubt thy mind dismay.
Here with me thou shalt but stay
Only, only, only till I can, I can display
What I will do with a dildo, with a dildo,
Sing do, with a dildo, dildo.
Quickly, quickly, quickly, prithee, quickly, prithee, be now still!
Nay, you shall not have your will.
Trow you men will maidens kill?
Tarry, tarry, tarry but to learn, to learn the skill
What I will do with a dildo, with a dildo,
Sing do, with a dildo, dildo.
Pretty, pretty, pretty, witty, pretty, witty, sit me by,
Fear no cast of any eye;
We will play so privily
None shall, none shall, none shall see but you, but you and I
What I will do with a dildo, with a dildo,
Sing do, with a dildo, dildo.
