Story behind the song
P-Dizz begins the story by proposing the question "What if you were the girl?" However, his story quickly changes tone when he begins detailing the events that led to current status of the two. Promiscuity on the unnamed female's behalf led to the falling apart of their relationship but the beginning of their wild sexual encounters. In typical P-Dizz fashion, he lets her know that it's cool she slept with his friend, because he also "gets out the mud."
In the second verse, J-Rich uses a different approach to the famous "What If" question between men and women. He begins by getting her attention in saying that he's curious as to what could have been. Later, he goes on to detail the wrongdoings that he may have done that led to the end of their relationship.
Both verses from the two are detailing actual events about people that they were in involved with.
