Story behind the song
This is just an old blues song I wrote a long time ago, but never had time to record. It was nice using tha Telecaster my friend built, it's one of the most expressive instruments I've ever played with the old hand wound pickups.
Lyrics
DON'T SAY NOTHING Left you after midnight Sunday morning, Had about all I could take, Your birthday party was downer for me, I had to leave I needed a break, Carrying on with all of your so called, "Just friends" I couldn't believe you acting that way, Finally come to see the real you baby, For me there was no reason to stay. Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey... 'Came around and gave a hard luck story, Blaming me for letting you down, Were you expecting me to say 'I'm sorry? When you made me the fool of the town, I thought we might have had, a good thing going, But then it came appart at the seam, Caught you in the arms of another man baby, Turned around I nearly screamed. Oh, oh, oh, DON'T SAY NOTHING Don't even try to explain, I don't own you, you don't own me, Let's just keep it that way. Solo Maybe I overeacted baby, Maybe I made a mistake, But what I saw was just enough now baby, You know it's so very hard to take, Now I don't wanna have to see you crying, I don't want to hear all your lies, All I want to do is live my own life, We've already said our goodbyes. Oh,oh, oh, DONT SAY NOTHING Don't even try to explain, I don't own you, you don't own me, Let's just keep it that way. X2 Let's just keep it that way..etc
