Story behind the song
"Future Song" came out of my healing journey that, at first, dealt with issues of incest and then later, as I became stronger, the reality of a deeper family pathology. This song is really a song about hope and about that "something within" us that is stronger than any negative experience we might have. It is a song that came to and through me as I was meditating - for years I sang it accapella - the first song I ever wrote that set the tone for all the other songs that would follow.
