A fast and furious Pop/Rock song from my Dolce Vita years . . . all guitars blazing. Some nice treated slide guitar in the middle 8 and also a flashy blues/rock guitar solo ! ha ha.
This is my new recording of a song I played whilst in a Pop/Rock band called Dolce Vita (1980/82). Eddie Lockwood, the rhythm guitarist in the band, wrote this with Kenny Rooke, the bass player in the same band. We all had an input into the original arrangement. We must have played it dozens of times as a band, and it's still one of my favourites from the Dolce Vita years. This however, is my new 'interpretation' of the song. Perhaps this is how it would sound if we got together and played as a band again. ?
"I was looking for" (Edward J Lockwood/ kenny Rooke)
I've been around the world, and it's all been in vain.
I keep on looking and I'm, hoping to find her,
could it be the wrong time,
could it be the wrong place,
and I . . . . was looking for.
and I . . . . was looking for.
It's been several years, since I've seen her smile.
if only I could just see her, for a little while,
I don't want to give up, is it just my bad luck,
and I . . . . was looking for.
and I . . . . was looking for.
where do I go, what do I do, how will I know,
when I've found her, when I've found her . . . .
melodic guitar solo !
and I . . . . was looking for.
and I . . . . was looking for.
And only time will tell me, if I am right,
if it takes me all my life, I'll carry on in spite,
Am I on the right track, do I have to turn back.
and I . . . . was looking for.
and I . . . . was looking for.
flashy blues/rock guitar solo ! ha ha
Great song Eddie & Kenny . . . David
