Music & Vocals by Andrew Richardson
The result of a good bit of fun writing and collaborating to the title "Trampled Roses"
She's wonderful, she's beautiful
She's rhapsody and rhyme
And maybe she'd still be with me
If I'd been the giving kind
No dinner dates and roses
No walks along the beach
I let her drift away instead
'Til she was out of reach
I hope a dozen is enough
I want to see her eyes light up
When I show her love that takes her breath away
But if I'm too late, I fear
All I'm really going to hear
Is what a dozen trampled roses say
I'll stop and buy her favorite wine
I'll bring her some perfume
And then I'll say, I've missed the way
Her scent fills every room
Fools can be enlightened
Tigers can be tamed
She thinks she'll never change me
But I'll never be the same
I hope a dozen is enough
I want to see her eyes light up
When I show her love that takes her breath away
But if I'm too late, I fear
All I'm really going to hear
Is what a dozen trampled roses say
Will she welcome me with open arms, will she send me on my way?
Am I a fool to hide, a ring inside, a silly, rose bouquet ?
I hope a dozen is enough
I want to see her eyes light up
When I show her love that takes her breath away
But if I'm too late, I fear
All I'm really going to hear
Is what a dozen trampled roses say
