cover of Paul Weller classic from album of same name. reached 14 in UK, album 2. A Soundroom production.
Recorded as live, 1 take
HAVE done live, back in '05, at the Boro, etc. (should have been Beehive!)
Was suggested by my buddy, a PW fan. Not a song I knew but I got to like it and enjoyed doing it live. Especially the upper register section. At one venue the main band came in on their break to listen. But that was as far as it went.
High tide, mid-afternoon
People fly by, in the traffic's boom
Knowing, just where you're blowing
Getting to where you should be going
Don't let them get you down
Making you feel guilty about
Golden rain will bring you riches
All the good things you deserve now
Climbing, forever trying
Find your way out of the wild, wild wood
Now there's no justice
Only yourself that you can trust me in
Day by day your world fades away
Waiting to feel all the dreams that say
Golden rain will bring you riches
All the good things you deserve now
Climbing, forever trying
Find your way out of the wild, wild wood
