Lyrics
No Higher Honor (c)2008 Christopher M Solaas He was tall and thin, and young at heart And wise beyond his years And he told the kids he was old and fat And they laughed themselves to tears, Every time the church was open He was there to greet my kids With a great big smile and a handshake Or a hug It was just what he did. He would write them on their birthday He never missed a one For he prayed for every one of them Like daughters and sons One day I asked him why he never Tired of the kids And he looked me straight in the eye and said "There is no higher Honor Than to serve my Savior's Kids There is no higher calling They are where His heart is!" It was just as much the way he was As the many things he did And he proved by example it was true, There is no higher honor Than to minister to kids. Well, I picked up on his message And whatever I could learn Investing in a Kingdom With eternal returns "Reaching Boys and Girls for Christ, Training Them to Serve Him." So, listen, It's important, And I'll say it again... "There is no higher Honor Than to serve my Savior's Kids There is no higher calling They are where His heart is!" It was just as much the way he was As the many things he did And he proved by example it was true, There is no higher honor Than to minister to kids.
