Excellent song, Dave...I got that John Lennon vibe too here...reminded me of the way John sang Instant Karma...but really nice rhythm too.

Dave, "Don't Try Me" is angry but still musically very satisfying. Your penchant for tough, leathery guitar textures against emotional and picturesque lyrics is your trademark. You pull in Tom Petty, Dylan, the Byrds, and make them all support your own unique and compelling artistic vision. Your achievements as a producer get better with each project - this is a radio-ready track IMO. BTW - thanks for the kind words about "Saturday Rain"... Your fan, Johnny

Great song and very cool production.Your vocal reminds me of John Lennon's at the time of "Rock'n'Roll".Very interesting rhythmical abberations are happenning here and there. At times it seems like the whole rhythm is fallin' apart, but than it goes back to the track...h-m...hmm...quite interesting. All in all very happening stuff.

Sounds alot like Gothic Rock, but Blues Rock works. :) NICE guitar work, David, excellent production, you did a GREAT job with this, my friend. :) And yes, in case you want to know..you DO sound mad as H-E-double hockeysticks...which is what this song needed was an angry vocal. LOL! :) 5-star treatment fer ya. :)

Black Velvet meets Wilberry records giant David Lunbeck. Love this one. Good bluesy rocking tune. Guitar work is dead on for the style. I think I saw Kurty mention something about a blues harmonica now that would be absolute icing on this Blue velvety cake. Nice work Dave.
