The CD Album OUT OF THE BLUE, produced in Nashville by Gary Carter, is a collection of songs, all penned by Marty himself, that reflect the real sense of versatility that Marty Rivers’ music has to offer. The title track along with the ballads "Baby, you’ve changed my life" and "A lonely star" uncover Marty’s more romantic side with "Call Colorado" being the most laid-back song on the album, a deep contrast from the track "I’m available" which is a real country rocker. The songs "Mexican vacation" and "Made in Mexico" reveal the artist‘s Latin music influence while his island upbringing was the inspiration behind "Paceville". The beauty of freedom is celebrated in "So good to be free" while the joy of redemption is delivered in the spiritual song "Blinded".
