Story behind the song
"The Blood Became A Fountain" reminds us of the mercy and grace that sent Jesus to die in our place and that it is available to all no matter their station in life!
Lyrics
The Blood Became a Fountain On a lonely hill called Calvary Hung a man on an old rugged tree. His blood flowed down and stained the ground, He was dying there for me. Chorus: And that blood became a fountain of mercy and grace, The fountain became a river as he died there in my place. The river still flows to all who believe And surely there is pardon for all who receive. Whether rich or poor, a pauper or a king, There is cleansing for all who will go To the foot of the cross on Calvary's hill And be washed in that crimson flow. 2nd Chorus: For that blood became a fountain of mercy and grace, The fountain became a river as he died there in my place. The river still flows to all who believe And surely there is pardon for all who receive.
