Story behind the song
Dennis and I got to see Scott Henderson, Frank Gambale, and others at the La Ve Le in Studio, City, CA, back when the cover charge was only $5.00. He was a loving and generous soul to all, and after he went in the direction of prog rock and the fusion stuff I was listening to, he went out and sought hard to find and obscure recordings of the guys in the bands that I turned him onto. He devoured it. He played bass, guitar, and trumpet. He had just retired in late 2005, and he should have lived life a bit more than this, though I believe he enjoyed his run and it was just time to move on..
