Story behind the song
Believe it or not, "Show Me" PREDATES "Walking In The Shadows" by almost a year (April, 1985). No alterations here:
This is the vocal version as was recorded (double-tracked backing vocals and all!). Another oddity: The INSTRUMENTAL is only One-Track/One-Take Mono/Stereo-Directly-Into-The-Cassette-Recorder!
In other words, just like the original instrumental to "I Won't Tell You What To Do" (1984/1985), this track would be considered (ahem!) "LIVE".
Lyrically and Vocally; even though it IS a "Lawrence Wise And The Cosmic Funk Orchestra" track (April 1985!!), it is ANOTHER early Pre-OSMOSIS groove.
