a 30's flavoured song, for the lovelorn
Basically it was written in response to a song called "Your Touch"((c) Ralf Tyrrell).
We often get to that stage where we stop protecting ourselves romantically. Then we just yeild and go with the romantic climate around us.
This song was written with that sort of vulnerability, and the letting go and trust that is so difficult for some.
Let Me Melt Around You
BarBaRa Brickland(words)/Ralph Tyrrell(music)
My barriers are down I’m vulnerable to you
The prison walls that I’ve called home
are crumblin’ from view
I’m open and alive since I found you
So darlin’ be kind - I’m so into you
I want to be with you forever and a day
I want to see you ev’ry moment and never go away
I think of you each minute that we’re apart
You’ve captured every piece of my loving heart
CHORUS
I’m giving you my heart and my heart is true
Look into my eyes - watch me melt around you
Gettin’ softer ev’ry moment
that you do the things you do
Look into my eyes - watch me melt around you
Let me melt around you you can feel my gentle soul
You’re the one I choose to share
my heart, my love, my all
I feel so soft when I’m around you
So darlin’ let me love you I’ll melt around you
