I got this sample from the radio station that I may or may not work at (check out www.puddinpage.com for more info on that). Tell Him by the Exciters was the song and I wanted to make a beat similar to Astrology with me on the hook. I isolated the bassline and kept some of the sample for the hook. I added some new instruments to keep it DC. I change the meaning of the sampled words so instead of talking about getting a man the song will be about gaining status, rep, or fame.
