Welcome to Mountain Aire Old Time Music. My wife and I would like to thank you for taking the time to browse our music. We have been playing Mountain Dulcimers since 2004 and have added several other acoustic instruments to our list. We really enjoy playing Old Time and Traditional music from the Appalachian Mountains as well as Gospel and early Bluegrass.

Story behind the song
The only history I can find for this classic fiddle tune dates the song to circa late 1930's, author unknown. The original title Black Mountain Blues was changed to Black Mountain Rag by Curly Fox in his 1947 recording.
