Story behind the song
This song was actually stolen from me and my band, when I was 13. Recorded by someone, out in the audience of a talent show, we played at, Memorial Day, '63. Thru vigorus searching, and contact, I won it back just recently. I origianlly wrote it as my first band's theme song. Even before the cartoon had their song. But we knew nothing about copyrights, back then. Now! Finally, I got the chance to record it myself, although I had been playing it for years, in all my bands ... But for this first recording of it? I updated some words, slightly, for todays sounds and entertainment value. But I kept the music, as close to original as the day we first performed it at that show. The sound is more Rock-a-Billy, now due to my lower vocal. But a good piece. And lots of requests, Especially by Stephie, who I put in this recording. The original girl was Linda! This is just a test run at it, on it's first time recorded by me, finally. A few word mistakes, thou. But this is how it would have sounded, minus the deeper voice, now. It was and is my original! The 12th one I wrote, in my career. Oh, I also made up a word in there, when written. Notice "Getch" It means ... Get or Catch in one word. Not many caught that in the original performance! LOL! Hope ya'll enjoy my version!
