This dark impressionistic piece was shortlisted in 'The art of persecution' competition run by Open Doors. I suggest you play this piece whilst viewing their online gallery at http://www.theartofpersecution.com/exhibition/gallery/index.html
In this short improvisational instrumental piece I imagined what it would be like to live in a city such as Tehran, or any other fundamentalist Islamic City, where the leaders and most people are openly hostile to Christians and where fanatics abound. As you walk through the city you are surrounded by constant reminders towering above and around you of thee facts. There is a feeling of threat and unease in this dark city where you live but somehow do not belong. Yet amongst this you know you are in the presence of God whose light shines on you as you look up to the heavens and bask in His glory.
