This is my 3rd and final rendition in the 'I'LL FLY AWAY TRILOGY'. Originally written by Albert E. Brumley in 1929, I have arranged and VOCALLY produced this hymn in a different mood and beat than my 2 previous renditions. Enjoy!
The original hymn was written by the late Albert E. Brumley in 1929.
BACKGROUND:
1 THESSALONIANS 4:16-17
16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
I'LL FLY AWAY
Original Hymn by Alfred E. Brumley, 1929
Some glad morning when this life is o'er, I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore, I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
Chorus
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
When the shadows of this life have gone, I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
Chorus
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
Just a few more weary days and then, I'll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end, I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
Chorus
I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away (I'll fly away).
