The 'Scherzo' of my Fourth Symphony, a composition based on BEETHOVEN`S SKETCHES for his TENTH SYMPHONY and unfinished String Quintet in C.
Beethoven`s sketches for his Tenth Symphony were a long-time interest for me. In recent years I have been able to study the subject in full, mainly due to the valuable help of Mrs. Patricia Stroh, curator of the Beethoven Bibliography Database at the San José University, USA. Thanks are due also to Mr. Barry Cooper, one of the leading Beethoven scholars, for his suggestions.
Of course, unlike some others` attempts (e. g. Barry Cooper`s interesting 1st movement), my work is not a style reconstruction (which I think it would be impossible, especially for the Tenth), but a composition in my Neo-Classical style. The other movements are hosted at http://www.unheardbeethoven.org/newjan08.html
