A Song that ponders how one class differs from another and how each class has its opinion of the other.
Sharron McLeod who you hear singing this brought me to her music as sideman where I first heard this song. Sharron came by the song through Rodney Kendrick who was pianist for Abbey Lincoln at the time. The song itself however is credited to Rhonda Ross who just happens to be the daughter of Diana Ross. At the time of the recording Sharron had a son with Rodney named Niles who is the spitting image of his Dad. Those were good days and I remember vividly how I scrambled to help Rodney get to the Toronto airport on time while I had never driven there before. Needless to say, Rodney is gifted. Sharron and Rodney parted ways and Rodney later married Rhonda.
Maybe later.
