This one is our radio friendly commercial Pop/Rock tune, the only one on the album!
This one came out on the commercial rock side, not by design, it just rolled out that way. We like it, hope you do too! It actually started out as a very mellow "Album Leaf" style instrumental piece till Clayton came along and said "Hey! I got some really rockin riffs to go with that...!" Dave added the vocals and there ya go!
She almost lost her groove
Make your reservations
For the end of the world
She almost lost her groove
Blessed are the meek
For they inherit the world
She almost lost her groove
God is on the line
And she has put him on hold
She almost lost her groove
Blessed are the meek
For they inherit the world
Chorus:
When your nineteen years old
Ya got the world figured out
Seven cups of coffee
Your about to freak out
Ya got a brother, a sister
Both in Iraq
Ya keep your Ipod on
Wonder if they’ll be back
Insanity’s beginning to start to sound sane
Ya keep lookin for somebody else you can blame
With a buck in your pocket
And a smoke in your pack
Ya don’t need to look forward
Don’t need to look back
She almost lost her groove
Make your reservations
For the end of the world
She almost lost her groove
It’s time you realize
There’s no easy way out
She almost lost her groove
God is on the line
And she has put him on hold
She almost lost her groove
Blessed are the meek
For they inherit the world
Just a couple more beers
And the pain goes away
Pretty soon you’ll be able to call it a day
Stumble into bed
Wake up an hour later
It’s time to go to work
Do your boss a favor
It’s a crazy world
Itching for a fight
When down is up
And wrong is right
You can’t say you want peace
When your holding a gun
Because that’s when the groove
Has lost it’s fun
She almost lost her groove
She almost lost her groove
