Song off the Open Field CD
Story behind the song
This is more like the story of Open Field. See, I got this pat'na name of Laine. He has been of part of all but 2 of my recordings...Open Field is he and I. He produces all of the music for Open Field.
On this cd, we did what we do, and got down to business; I, of course came with venomous verbal extasy, and he created rhythms and flows through the use of electric guitar, bass guitar, and .... a mutha---- upright bass!!
Now I know that there are alot of folks who don't know what an upright is, but get up with ya instruments people.
So the skinny is that he's a bad ass musician and I'm a bad ass poet, and we do the damn thang in the studio!
So sit back and enjoy this one--it's one of my favorites!!
