Story behind the song
A slow blues, motivated by researching my family history. In 1889 the 3 year old child (Annie Vasco) of my g-grandfather was knocked down and killed by a 'tram'. She died before reaching hospital, and because the family was so poor at the time, she was buried in an unmarked public grave.

very soulful playing beautiful tone deft balance between the two guitars use of half–steps very effective in adding melancholia rhythm guitar strong sense of swing and movement without being heavy-handed below, a few of my favorite licks: 0:36/37" 0:58/59" 1:44/46" lovely, tender ending letting the last note ring/fade out without adding any vibrato to it impressive

Lovely blues, John. Very sensitively played, nice guitar tones:). Cheers, Mauri.

Such a sad story that inspired this beautiful song, I think the blues has to be felt deeply before it can come out and hit us in the heart like this, then it's pure magic but most blues has been lived hard before it flies like a butterfly into the soul, captured forever.
