StudioMac Sounds is me, Mitch Townley. I am a Children's Pastor from Knoxville, TN. I have been writing seriously since 2003. It has become a wonderful hobby and a way to let my daughter Kristen (20) do some recording with her wonderful voice. I hope you enjoy my collection of Christian, country and comedy songs. Thanks to my many friends who have written the music for, played instruments on, and sung on these cuts.

Lyrics
Oorah Up! © 2006 Mitch Townley / Scott Hamilton (v1) Ten hours in, two days to go On a southbound turn around to San Antoine Parked my rig at a stop north of New Orleans Shared some hard luck stories and some black coffee With a storm survivor wearing old fatigues Asked him what it was that got him through He said Paris Island, class of sixty-two Where I learned (chorus) Give a war cry, Sound off! Oorah up! Never back down from anyone Nothing, no sir, not anytime From your gut give a battle cry Quittin don't run in our blood Just hunker down and Oorah up! (v2) Turns out he was a company man Third Battalion, First Marines, Vietnam Came home with a Purple Heart and a mean tattoo His buddies gave him in the jungle, a salute To his Semper Fi, won't die attitude Talked alot about standing tall and tough Said you gotta face life with your sleeves rolled up And (repeat chorus) (bridge:) I asked him if he'd ever met a Private James Then told him how my dad went MIA He said no, but felt he knew him just the same And thought of him ev'ry time he 'd say ..... (chorus) Give a war cry, Sound off! Oorah up! Never back down from anyone Nothing, no sir, not anytime From your gut give a battle cry Quittin’ don't run in our blood Just, hunker down and Oorah up! Yeah, Oorah up!
