Based on Indian classical music, "Natha Hare", a 12th century melody makes an attempt to revisit roots of devotional music with a modern day outlook. Vocal - Vishwesh Bhat, Guitar - John Oommen, Mridangam - Lakshman, Veena - Ashwini Bhat
"Natha Hare" is a sweet romatic melody based on Raag Darbari Kanada, written by the poet, Jaideva in the 12th century.
Here, Radha's friend returns to Krishna to inform the ecstatic state of Radha...She says, "Oh lord Krishna, master of worlds, stealer of sins, saddened Raadha is in a bower, and she looks for you, a secret swiller of nectar from the lips of other milkmaids, in all directions... thus, Raadha is aweary in an arbour..."
In the next verse, the poet says, "May this auspicious song said by poet Jaideva cause utmost gladness to aesthetic people..."
Enjoy, Vishwini
