Story behind the song
Juri sent me this composition and asked did I have any ideas for the lyrics and as it happened, it immediately evoked a memory in me which was the trigger for the lyric. Of course, he had hummed where he wanted the words and the trigger was the words Happiest People, which was about all I could make out of his la-la's...
Lyrics
Happiest People (lyric by dawn Sinclair) I sit all alone Staring into nowhere Pictures come and go, swirling in my mind Words that seemed to fit are slowly disappearing Easy to assume that you were being kind mmm hmmmm hmmmm If I look inside See ....what you are seeing There could be another chance for us, to survive My eyes tell me lies Can't stop self-deceiving We could be the happiest people, happiest ones alive I sit all alone Thinking of the future Learning to accept what you see in me Is it possible my truths are just illusion Easy to assume I just wish them to be mmmmm hmmmmm hmmmmm If I look inside See what you are seeing There could be another chance for us, to survive My eyes tell me lies Can't stop self-deceiving We could be the happiest people, happiest ones alive No more time alone Got to start believing Living for the now, not for days long past You are not to blame for my shattered ego I must help you to make sure that this will last mmmmm hmmmmmm hmmmmmm I must look inside See what you are seeing There will be another chance for us, to survive My eyes must be wise Stop the self-deceiving We will be the happiest people, happiest ones alive
