3.1 '31 Degrees and Two Miles of Fog'
"The first song I ever wrote was inspired by God. It is called '31 degrees and Two Miles of Fog.'
I wrote some instrumental music first. Then I prayed and asked God for the words to say. After the prayer I walked up to the microphone in the recording studio and this is what I heard God telling me to sing.”
The Song Scripture Inspiration:
Satan, the god of this evil world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe, so they are
unable to see the glorious light of the Good News that is shining upon them. They don't
understand the message we preach about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
II Corinthians 4:4 (NLT)
Distant place in an unholy land
The people there wouldn't take His hand…
So He ascended to the sky above….
Like a dove.........Like a dove.......
Just like a dove…. Like a dove.......
Just like a dove........
(Weather radio voice) 31 degrees and two miles of fog …….
The people asked Him who He really was
He answered Prince of peace; I am the Holy One….
Will you believe, will you receive…?
Will you accept the fact?
That you are in a need….
Can't you see……? (Weather radio voice) 31 degrees and two miles of fog ……
Back in a time two thou’ ago. (2000 years ago)
The people there just didn't know….Which way…….They wanted to go………
Just accept the fact, why don't you just….
Just accept the fact, why don't you just….
Just accept the fact, why don't you just….
Just accept the fact why don't you.......You…….You………….
I guess the fog had overcome the land…..
I guess they couldn't see His hand….
Willing, reaching out….Out to them….
With His arms open wide….
His desire was to reside….
In their hearts and minds….Hearts and minds………………….Hearts and minds….
Distant place in an unholy land……
The people there wouldn't take His hand….
So He ascended to the sky above………….
Like a dove.........Like a dove.......Just like a dove………. Like a dove.......
Just like a dove......Just like........Just like........Just like........Like…..Like….Like….
Like..............
