songs from a twin cities basement
I'm Eric Kalenze, and Gawker Slowdown is the name I've given my little musical hobby. While I'm currently in a state of semi-retirement from music, I still write and play out occasionally. All songs on this site were written, performed, and recorded by me in my Twin Cities basement.

Lyrics
i wanna tell you but i don't know how you always get me on the run somehow been thinkin lately i ain't over it don't even matter i ain't worth a sh** just bring your things and i'll make some calls see if they remember me at all so i can stand in front and make that sound so goddamn big it might knock me down i know it's crazy, just don't say so why can't you just play along put down that goddamn cell phone i won't keep you too long under my breath i pointed out that guy been rockin empty rooms since eighty-five said if you see me there at thirty-eight just pull the trigger, don't hesitate now here i am with four years to go and all these urges, they won't go cold so one request about my last page just see it happens on the turf club stage i know it's crazy, just don't say so why can't you just play along put down that goddamn cell phone i won't keep you too long
