Story behind the song
One day at the Beauty Salon (11-2000) my Beautician, Mother Smith had a book entitled (Good Morning, Holy Spirit) written by Pastor Benny Hinn. I only had time to read the first two chapters. That was enough. The thought of greeting the Holy Spirit in that manner got all in my spirit. The next day I found myself singing this little song over and over again. I thought about how often we get up running without taking the time to just say "thank you" for waking me up this morning. Let me just reflect and rejoice in "this day" and not take it nor you for granted. Daily, I invite my heavenly father to walk with me, my savior to speak to me, his holy spirit to lead and guide me. I'm determined that Christ should be the first one on my mind upon rising and the last one as I lay down to rest saying Good Night, sweet savior,holy Trinity I love you.
