Too many of my friends have fallen victim to not getting a job just because they smoke trees.
BURNING PARADISE
Written by Parker Sharp
Oh man what am I doing here?
Hope to God I don’t fail or I’m gonna be,
Another chump who could have avoided the loss,
Now that I think about it…
Who has the right to say that uh,
What I do is not the way but,
I’m not a bad disease, no everything’s alright with me,
So I smoke a little, Yes I free my mind,
And I want to because I see you,
Doing it too.
What a world we live in when the,
People don’t accept the gifts that the,
Earth has grown and given,
Well we’ve cultivated such a crime.
Paranoid because you make me,
Feel like I don’t fit society,
But I’m doing fine why can’t you just accept my life?
So I smoke a little, Yes I free my mind,
What you got to say when I see you,
Doing it too.
I’d legalize it,
You can’t defy it,
Another satisfying consumer market and it already has roots.
I need it, no I don’t,
But when you pass it, how can I say no?
So I light it, and it taste thick,
And I feel my body wanting to float…
Everything is hazy, feel my senses raising,
Happy times I’m praising they all try to take it away,
And you’re cuffing me, then you try to say, that I’m fatuous…
That’s insane; I’m no different from you,
Why can’t you just let me be? I’m not hurting nobody no,
Don’t bother, Don’t hassle me, Don’t bother, Don’t trouble me,
Bring all your fear somewhere else.
